Interval ownership glossary

Interval ownership is really simple. As the name implies, you purchase a portion of a fully furnished, luxury property in Avon, Beaver Creek or Vail, Colorado. Browse the glossary below to ensure you understand terminology associated with interval ownership.

Bonus Time : Owners are able to reserve up to eight additional days at the resort at which they own at half the price of normal rental rates. (excludes Poste Montane Lodge)


Fee Simple : A type of ownership wherein the owner holds a deed in his name. It's considered to be the opposite of right-to-use or lease ownership. This type of ownership continues forever.


Fixed Unit : An owner has rights to the same physical condominium or suite every year.


Fixed Week : Usage of your property is restricted to the week you've purchased.


Float Week: (Summer & Winter) Any winter week may be reserved if ownership is in winter and likewise for summer (excluding holiday/ fixed weeks and Poste Montane Lodge)


Flex/Shoulder Weeks : (Spring / Fall) Reserve any week in spring or fall, regardless if ownership is in one or the other (excludes Easter and Poste Montane Lodge)


Interval International : Bank your week with Interval International and travel anytime of the year to over 2,200 resorts worldwide.


Maintenance Fee : A regular charge levied by the homeowner's association to cover upkeep expenses of your property.
